if you earthed your case and touched a circuit, wouldn't it still affect it?

if you touch the case you'll be safe. i think thats the same as properly earthing it

IF YOU WERE TO TOUCH YOUR CASE THEN ANY ESD YOU MIGHT HAVE WOULD GO, BUT IF YOU WERE TO TOUCH CIRCUITS INSIDE THE CASING, THEY WOULDN'T BE PROTECTED WOULD THEY? I DON'T THINK IT'S SUPPOSED TO GO THROUGH THE ACTUAL CIRCUITS AND THEN GO AWAY

wh4T DOES AN ANTI-STATIC KIT DO THAT TAPPING THE CASE DOESNT?! THEY BOTH EVEN THE CHARGE BETWEEN PC AND USER SO A CHRGE CANT GO FROM YOU THROUGH A COMPONENT TO THE CASE TO EARTH IT
