Bleh I suck at analyzing poems and need help on the following:

Death, be not proud - John Donne

Death, be not proud, though some have callèd thee
    Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow
Die not, poor death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which yet thy pictures be,
Much pleasure, then from thee much more, must low
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones and soul's delivery.
Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings and desperate men
And dost with poison, war and sickness dwell,
And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well
And better than thy stroke; why swell'st thou then ?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally,
And death shall be no more; death, thou shalt die.

And I need to answer the following questions:
    1) What is the subject of the poem?
    2) Who is the speaker in the poem?
    3) What is the situation in the poem?
    4) Describe the diction. What is its effect? Explain
    5) What is the tone of the poem? Explain your response.
    6) Is there any figurative language in the poem? Identify it. What is its effect on the poem?
    7) Explain any imagery in the poem. What is the source of the imagery?
    8) What is the theme/meaning of the poem? Explain your response.

    Thanks

    1). Death.
    2). John Donne.
    3). A war, I think.
    4). It's a bit deadpan. It's depressing.
    5). Quite dark.
6). Yes, the 12th line is about wanking. It ruins the poem.
7). Yes, the 11th line is about drugs. The source of the imagery is drugs.
8). THE THEME IS DEATH. It means that you will die.

    I hope this helps...

(Sciences were more my thing... really.... )

The person that wrote this is really seriously depressed & needs to get help or should get out more, maybe take a vacation, watch a movie or something
and if you meet him tell to stop pressing enter after every sentence.
