You have a chipped Xbox correct? Well as soon as you log into Xbox Live you will be banned, loosing all your money you payed o sign up. There are other online things for xbox which are free. Google for Xbconnect.

Xbox live costs money, Ps2 online does not..

i like ps2, but i have to say from what i've seen xbl wins this. xbl has better servers, more content and runs smoother. ps2 is choppy, lags plenty, servers arent very reliable, no new content. i've had my network adapter for 3months, only played online like 3 times, i've had xbl 5days, and been on all 5 days, you could argue i didnt have the right game for the ps2 adapter to be used as much, i mean nfsu was a good game but they cheated like a bitch online. just my input anyway.

Most modchips have an off button, or can be modded to turn off.

thats true, but i have been told that when you on XBL, they check you bios to make sure you haven't changed them

Yeah I read you get your Xbox live account revoked, and you are then you get banned from all XBox servers.
