coolerXP in PC alert4 took my CPU down from 45 degrees running kazaa to 32 degrees and seems to have stopped most lockups. CPU usage is still reported as quite high but it doesn't act like it now.

cpuidle is shite. it robs all your processing power and then you cant even play tunes.
