Just installed iTunes because i wanted to organise my music.

I went to File, Add folder or something and chose my c:\music folder. I then realised it was moving all of my files to My Documents, so when it was done I highlighted all the files in the Library section and clicked on clear. And clever old me deleted all my mp3's.

you should be able to restore them either by system restore or a third-party program

and anyway, disn't a dialogue box pop asking you if you are sure you wanted to delete it?

system restore is a bad solution..

try a recovery program such as TuneUp Undelete.
Will find and bring em back...even if you emptied the recycle bin (heh, would be easier if they were in there eh)

Luckily I backed them up a few weeks ago. But thanks Skizo for the restoration programme link, doing the ones i've got since last back up now.

Backing up is such a good idea, I wish I wasn't such the procrastinator or I'd do it more frequently.

Yeah, that restoration utility is great. Never know when you might need it, and the best part is, it'll runoff a floppy. No installing required.

I'm glad I back all of my stuff up, I've got loads of DVD-Rs on a shelf with my whole hard drive from various times on them.
