Ok ive got good and bad news, good news is i got the game to actually fire up. bad news is when i try to connect to a server it says STEAM Validation Rejected.
If you have all patches installed you now need to have Steam.dll, and Steam.dll.off in your install dir. if you dont have Steam.dll you get that messageOriginally Posted by mofos

ike it didnt work what do i do now?!
im getting an error about couldnt find entry point in the Steam.dll library and after that another error saying cannot load filesytem_steam.dll

did you edit the SteamApp file?
is there a ClientRegistry.blob file in your install dir?
did you create a shortcut with: -steam -console -game cstrike ?
