WinRAR is a 32-bit Windows version of RAR Archiver, an archiver and archive manager. RAR files can usually compress content 8 percent to 15 percent more than ZIP files. WinRAR's main features include strong general and multimedia compression, the ability to process non-RAR archive formats, ZIP compression and decompression, long filename support, programmable self-extracting archives (SFX), damaged archive repair, authenticity verification, embedded file comments, and encryption. Unicode is supported in archive filenames, allowing non-English filenames to be handled painlessly You can manipulate the parameters of many archives at once and view a volume sequence as a single archive. WinRAR is able to convert other archive formats to RAR. It supports the Find command, allowing search for specified text and files in archives.

Heres a GUI that works real well with WinRar 3.42 and does not place a dodgy "Corporate" regfile in your directory..I never created this, it was created by someone else and he didnt have permission to release it at the time, and FOOOD had it taken down, but not before I could steal a copy !!! I kinda got sick of waiting for a new release of this...
Anyway full credits to Foood, SentientPC and of course WinRar(RarLabs)!!!



These files are compatible with WinRar v3.41 & v3.42...
Works with trial versions, patched versions & "officially bought & paid-for"

Step 1
Im assuming you have WinRar installed...

Step 2
Download the necessary files from the link below..

Step 3
Extract them to a folder of your choice...

Step 4
Disable right click integration of your existing WinRar like so....
.·´¯`·-> UNCHECK 'Options --> Settings --> Integration --> Shell integration --> Integrate WinRAR into shell'
I cannot stress how important this is!!! Reboot if necessary before proceeding!!

Step 5
There are 2 different Icon sizes (48x32 & 64x48), choose "one" and copy the contents(back up your existing WinRar Directory first for easy recovery later if you decide to revert back to the original look...(Usually C:\program Files\Winrar) of the folder into your Winrar directory ( usually C:\Program Files\WinRar) overwriting any existing ones...

Step 6
Re-enable Right-Click Intergration like so....

Results should be instantaneous!!


If you want to revert back to originals, just replace the files with the ORIGINAL ones hopefully we backed up earlier

ok it won't install correctly. as soon as winrar is closed down, it reverts back to it's original skin

have a read in the txt file...
Make sure you disabled the right click settings under options\Integration for WinRar when you copy the files to your Winrar directory and then after youve done that then re-enable the right click intergration..
Im gonna edit my original post to include some easy to follow instructions...(it really is easy though)
