how many pictures can you get in 16mb?

I guess it would depend on the size of each picture.

I went into my pictures folder and 16MB came out to be 230 images...

EDIT: Highlighted more of the bigger images, 16MB came out to be 51 images...

Again I guess it depends on the filesize of each image.

but those are jpegs. does a digital camera not save them uncompressed?

on my digital camera taking pics on the internal 16mb memory i can get 10 at my desired quality, i'm gonna check just for you how many at 800x600

my desired pixelation was 4mp (2272x1704) and i could save 10,

@ 3mp (2048x1536) = 21
@ 2mp (1600x1200) = 35
@ vga (640x380) = 215

i only use 4mp cos a, it is better and b, i have 2 x 256mb cards as well as 16mb built in.
