    The start page is annoying..
should atleast be a smaller file.

but better yet, get rid of the whole image. make a simple background to the page and insert text on top.
the actual site is pretty nice but again with all the images. 56ker's aren't going to like your site very much.
and the text in the nav is kinda hard to read.

why is the title banner flash.

i'm using a 1024x768 resolution and the screen still needs scrolling. very bad.

text is not that hard to read but should be much clearer, try tahoma or something.

as rossco said, why is the banner in flash?

bit more work needs done imo

Plain & Simple - Too fancy, too many graphics.

Too many Photoshop tricks have been used in the graphics that it makes it look a gallery to show off Adobe's wares rather than for any other purpose. Like Rossco said, it's going to piss off visitors with 56k connections and it makes the site look no different from the numerous other sites which use PS heavily.

Maybe my being harsh is due to the fact that I prefer simplistic, cleaner web designs - But it's a classic case of "Just because the features are there doesn't mean you have to use them". But an effective web design doesn't always involve fancy graphics, and great web designs like that of AppleGeeks.com show you don't have to have great graphics to have a great site.

    Simplify.

Majority of visitors including myself like to see a nice, clean site with easy to read text and graphics. Anything that flashes is almost def a no-no.

nsane's site (see my sig) is a good example of this. Very clean and easy to use. Graphics are not hard to make, just don't make them 'over-colourful'

as Samurai said simplify it, oh and the side buttons are very hard to make out, might consider changing them too.
