I am looking for some similare movies to Steam Boy...set in a time period of US History or War. Only two I found appealing so far were Akira and The Grave of Fireflies. Now I've heard of a anime movie depicting the world as if World War 2 turned out as planned without failure. Is there really one out there like this? I would buy this one right away just to check it out. Wink Not a huge anime fan, but the only animes I saw were all interesting. Especially Steamboy (only in theatres right now) and Ninja Scroll.

There aren't really a lot of anime based on WW2 or any WW's, but Samurai 7 might interest you. It's based of that old film Seven Samurai, and it's about these bandits who always steal rice from a small village, barely leaving any for the village itself. They get fed up of it so they decide to hire samurai to help them battle them and effectively stop the bandits altogether.
