My auntie taught me that years ago, sprinkle the salt and it deters em.

I was picturing you with a desk heaped with salt which would've amused my wee mind, but give it a go tho I'd put your keyboard on top of the monitor before trying it. I don't imagine salt's too good for the keyboard.

I'm doing the 'Janeyspeak' thing again, where it's possible to even confuse myself.

Sprinkle the salt on/around your desk, don't actually pile it on.

Try sprinkling cayenne pepper power on the desk, and Borax powder in the cracks and crevices around your house.
