Microsoft has announced record losses for the first quarter 2003. This has been attributed to the amount of lost revenue causes by file-sharing software programs, namely Kazaa and Emule. A spokesperson talking to a press conference at Microsoft’s head quarters, has announced that the long awaited release of its new operating system will have anti file-sharing coding. This coding will affectively prevent peer2peer applications from running without first registering and paying Microsoft for an application license. This license, a break through in software security will link itself directly to the registered users IP address. A plug-in will automatically notify Microsoft of any changes to the IP address and update the license, allowing the user to continue using the software. With each connection an information file containing a list of new files on the users hard drive will be forwarded to Microsoft, who in turn will notify the RIAA of any copyrighted infringement.

Looks like our days are numbered!

Looks like M!crosofts days are numbered.
They may like their tactics in the USA but in the EU there are new antitrustlaws
underway and many EU-governments are going to implement opensource-based
    software.
(M!crosoft is now even trying out their own Linux-clone&#33

Leech, gg with the april fools joke.

Any one with any knowledge of economics and business practice would know your full of crap, and any one that knows current software news would too.

MS wouldnt sell shit for copies of software which contained such procedures, no one would buy it. Also, if you are referring to paladium, read up a bit more on it. MS isnt going to shoot themselves in the foot to kiss the ass of the content providers.

I heard that microsoft could escape certain antitrust rulings if their next product wasn't called windows.
