  1. #1
Anyone know how i can convert avi to dvd. what program can i use EXECPT Winavi becasue i used that it it doesn't do it properly. I found the serial but i enter it in and it says its going to close the program so it can resister the code but nothing happens. Everytime i start the program it asks for the serial. So is there another program that does it without all this hassle?

    Cheers

It's free and really easy to use(one-click program).

nero lets you make your own dvds, its quite good and has more features than the likes of winavi as it lets you add in menus etc... but it takes slightly longer

I would advise againest nero, just use it to burn your dvd, not to encode

I was wondering what problems you have had with useing Nero to encode
I tried to use it to convert a 780MB .AVI to DVD everything seemed to work fine, untill I tried to play it in my DVD player, did not work.

I would have to agree. Every clip/video file I have tried to encode into DVD movie format has failed. I have tried three times thus far to burn the same set of files and have ended up with a different result each time. Simple .wmv files are all they are.

Before using Nero Vision 3, I never realized that burning a simple 4.3gig movie DVD could take up to eight hours long while maxing your cpu usage at 100% the entire time.
