iTunes without Quicktime

Is there anyway to install iTunes without also installing QuickTime. I like to use QuickTime alternative but it seems I can't have iTunes without normal QuickTime.

I just tried uninstalling quicktime and leaving iTunes and it worked fine.
I guess you could do that.

I tried that but iTunes didn't work..I'l give it another go.
