    I tried this on my G4 20 gig iPod and it works. I used MS paint to format the pictures and changed the "Do not Disconnect screen".

    Here are a couple pictures I formatted and another guide to change fonts and other things on the iPod.

    I only heard you do could install linux on the G3 or lower, someone is working on it for the G4
