I have a rare movie that's 98% completed. When I try to preview it, everything goes fine, until it reaches the missing part...then it starts to have weird outcomes like looping, freezing, or ending abnormally. Is there any software out there that can scan every working frame (plus matching sound), then output what it found tossing away the missing parts that cause corruption? I wouldn't mind the "jumping" to something else, because I really just want to preview it completely.

    Any ideas?
I've tried some other software that claimed to solve a video file's problems, but failed to resolve anything.

I would greatly appreciate your efforts. :-)

edit: the download is stuck at 98%...have tried it for months..no one has the remaining parts.

What are you downloading it with? If its Kazaa Lite you can use K-Dat to extract what's actually downloaded.

Also, what type of file is it? If its WMV you can use ASF Tools to repair the file, if its AVI or MPEG you can cut out the good chucks and paste them together with VirtualDub.

Emule and it's an ".dat" file.
