At the end of May I'm off on a trip with my local football team to the netherlands for a few games and I need some help with the lingo.
Its only a few basics I'd like to learn such as: offside, penalty, handball, "did you see that dive", "have you got your glasses with you referee?", "get your cards out for the lads!"
And of course I would like to be able to order drinks as well...

Could any of yous point me to a site that could help me? Or if theres any dutch speaking members here that could help I would be most grateful.

    Cheers

    Everyone speaks English in Holland.

My mate learned how to ask for a few things in Dutch, but I think the waitresses just thought he was taking the piss. Mind, the giggling and dribbling might have affected their opinion of him ... Dutch weed > Part time Welsh stoners.

Sounds like a great trip tho' :jealous:
I plan on beating him to death with his kids. I'll use them as a bludgeon on his face. -

    Yogi at your service!!!!

    "did you see that dive"

    --------------------------------------

"have you got your glasses with you referee?"

Na de wedstrijd wat drinken, eikel??

    --------------------------------------

"get your cards out for the lads!"

    Spaart u zegeltjes, of zo???

    --------------------------------------

And when you want to order drinks, you shout out loud:

"Barman, iedereen hier een rondje van mij.

    En neem zelf ook wat!!"
