Thread: i am getting really slow downloads with lokitorrent HELP!

  1. #1
i have 1.1 mb broadband and a bt voyager 2100 wireless modem, but get dl speeds of 34kbs when downloading from lokitorrent and pirate bay.

i am unsure of what the problem is but my friend said i may have too few ports open or something like that.

    anyone help?

you need to port forward it.

also make sure you dont use one of the standard ports.

It's not only about port forwarding. It also depends on the user upload speed that you are downloading from. If you run into some luck person with 1MB upload speed, then your download speed will be fast. But then again, the chance of that happening is low.

when there are more then 100 seeders/leechers you should get a decent download speed.

Check out portforward.com for any help. if you set up your router correct it would really help
