Thread: delete the links folder

    In favorites where the links folder is is there anyway to permanently delete it?? in IE i delete it but when you re open IE it appears again

    Only a small thing but yeah

    it'll keep comin back, dont think theres anything you can do
    as its tied in with the favorites folder
    and im not sure, but i think if you try and delete the favorites folder....
    windows bitches about it

    -edit- hell i just use mine and delete all the crap links M$ had in there
    i usually make a couple more folders and kinda try to organize my links
    forums, sports, etc

    what you have to do is set it to "hidden" and it won't appear in your favs

    The links reference in the registry is here (see below)
    You could simply rename it "links" to whatever you want.

    Yeah, do that. Then go to the top right corner where the other 'Links' part is in the IE toolbar, right-click it and uncheck 'Links'.

    I just hide it...right click>properties>"hidden">ok
