Thread: What is up with all the fake movies nowadays?

  1. #1
I have not been able to download a legitimate video in like 3 weeks, every video is something other than what it claims to be. Totally sucks, anyone else having similar problems.

Hi "food", I used to have this problem, but only when getting the movies from Kazaa or Ares, those are full of fakes, but when I used them to get movies, I usualy previewed them after a few minutes of dowload, so that way I knew before completed the hole file.
But now, I get the movies from bittorrent, I have never got a fake from them..
Last night I dl, "Flight Of The Phonix" and it is of great quality, DVD like, have you seen those?
From where do you get your movies?

I have mostly been using emule. I am not familiar with bit torrent. I have heard good things about bit torrent, but I do not know where to go to get started with it. I am just really annoyed with the way it can sometimes go. Last night I got 3 copies of the same movie hoping one of them would be real and none of them were. If you want to drop me a link where I can get going with bittorrent, I would really appreciate that. Much thanks!

is this a post form 2 years ago?? brings back memory's.

emule-sux for speed takes a month for a movie

kazza=98% of files on there =fakes

Bit torrent=100% the REAL deal but some people are paranoid

IRC=patience with the program is what you need

Newsgroups= well if your lucky your ISP might suport it

Bittorent i find isnt all that great anymore. It all depends on where you get your torrents from. If you get them from www.torrentspy.com or somewhere like that expect shyte speeds, fake files, virii and many other problematic files. Get them from Torrentbits (Well TorrentBytes now) and you cna expect fast speeds, always scene releases and no virii.

Newsgroups are always fast, have millions of files, hold files for up to 30 days, cheap (£8 per month for 30 days retention, 4 slots and no speed caps or usage caps is cheap enough for me www.newshosting.com) and usually have scene releases on there within a matter of hours.

Filesharing really gets good at the FTP level though. Speeds are perfect, filesare on servers instantly (if your lucky to be on a 3hr + pre time that is. No caps or limits but you usually have a qouta a month but this can be upped by FXping files from other ftps. Standard rules mean for every 1 mb you upload to the ftp you get 3mb to download. When your fxping though it doesnt use any of your upload speed but you still get the credits and most scene releases are like 1.5gb a movie so if you fxp a movie you can walk out of it with 4.5gb to download with little to no effect needed. Now thats the best way to fileshare IMO.
