When it say something like 10 hours life on 1 x AAA battery. Does it mean any type of battery? or does it refer to the new lithium ion?

I'm pretty sure it means any battery... With the exception of cheap off brand batterys which seem to die faster...

"it" ...The detail that I got that information from.

By the way, about voice recording...how long is it? or does it depend on how much space you have left?

Voice recording length would depend on the MP3 player... (what the quality settings are and if it has a size limit [if no limit it will go until you're out of space]).

I find that their ratings are almost always BS....I wouldn't even expect half of the time they say (on regular use that is).

Sorry, but I have one more question. Is this a good Connection Transfer Rate 4.8Mbps? I really want a good player but I'm not good at these stuff. lol.

    Thanks again.

that's like ~480kb/s....not the greatest, no.
    USB1.1 is 12mbps (~1200kb/s) and USB2.0 is something like 400mbps (with USB2.0 i transfer 600songs to my ipod in about 5 mins).
