Yes but millions and millions of people like you would attempt to use a keygen'd online and Blizzard would soon block the cd key, heck they could just download the keygen themselfs and block every key it throws out. Either way you cannot play with a keygen'd cd key online. Be my guest and try if you want, i'd love to see some of you have your ip's logged for using an illigal cd key online Infact Mofo's iv got this key for Half Life 2, it works and everything want to try it

Yes, groups reverse engineer games and apps to work out cd keys that work, however they usually only do 20-30 and think usually a few million people have used the release before you and as soon as two of them try online with the same key at the same time its blacklisted. WRONG. Yes it is possible to "phish" serials as they are called but then it wouldn't be a key generator would it. How do you explain things like say, a key gen for winzip, that generates the correct serial for your name. Go try a keygenning tutorial, you will see that they actually find the algorithm within the program itself and use this to generate the serials.

Yes thats what i said, they reverse engineer the program to find the formula for the cd key, however how many people use the name James as the regged name within the game/program? Thousands so if they all tried to reggister and play online what happens? Either way these cd keys are not unique because anyone in the world can access it by typing in a name. Meaning you cannot play online. Infact please go download Doom 3 use the keygen to make a key and try and play online.

First of all make up your mind on what exactly a keygen is.

Go ahead and try it, i will bet you £10 that you won't find one working online cd key. ID Software arn't stupid, they would have got the keygen/text file and blocked all cd keys in it.

Second of all, that textfile had 1 million keys. You think ID software are going to block 1 million legitimate keys and then deal with the thousands of complaints they recieve about cd keys not working.

In conclusion a keygen is just that, a key generator. It generates valid keys, the same keys that get printed out and put inside boxes or on the cd cases. I've played several games online games with keys from a keygen because it works. In the case of games like half life 2, warcraft 3 etc games that require online checking of the cd key, giving the crackers no means to find the validation method and produce a keygen. I really can't be bothered downloading Doom 3 for the sake of seeing if I can play it online, and hey maybe you are right, personally I don't see how ID software can block all of those legitmate cd keys but i'm not going to any lengths to try and prove it.
