hmm. richard linklater. he used that same technique in "waking life."

also... PHILIP K DICK woot. blade runner, total recall, minority report, paycheck, and now A SCANNER DARKLY woot. he's been a huge influence on things like videodrome, lawnmower man, matrix, etc too.

anyway yeah. hopefully this movie turns out well.

i've read the book of this and the film looks pretty faithful from the trailer, keanu is a good choice for the doped up paranoid nark main character too. really hope this film lives up to the book, will be looking forward to this one.

Great film, makes you view the world differently although the "animated" effect was not totally necessary, although adds to the blur...

i concur. thought this movie was pretty good. very different. i'll have to re-watch it again when i'm trashed to maybe get the full effect?
