    Surprised/Amazed

    Hi, well im building a computer for someone and the person will only use the computer to go on the internet, msn, qq and watch (dvds/movies etc.) she wont play games
    so i need help choosing a motherboard either from www.anitec.ca or www.ncix.com

    should i get this motherboard with built in sound and video? will the built-in video card be good enough?
    http://www.anitec.ca/?mode=product_d...pid=849&mcid=5

    or should i get a seperate motherboard and video card like this?
    M/B ==> http://www.anitec.ca/?mode=product_d...id=2814&mcid=5
    VIDEO CARD ==> http://www.anitec.ca/?mode=product_d...id=803&mcid=24

    p.s I need a motherboard that supports Pentium 4 socket 478
    (Prefer brand ASUS M/B and ATI SAPPHIRE VIDEO CARDS)

    Thnxs!!!

    Personally i would get an AMD, there cheaper, provide the same proformance and are in alot of peoples opinions better. Go for something like 2000+ Amd, 512mb ram, FX5200 (Video Card), maybe get a good audio card if its for DVD's. Also a Nec DVD writer foir like $50.

    There like $100 more expensive for the same proformance, point them to this thread when you next see them, almost all members here will agree with me when i say unless you are buying a 3.4Ghz P4 with teh new HT support Pentiums are just a waist of money.

    it's the brand of the chip on the motherboard (nforce).

    i agree that an amd would be better (cheaper for same performance).

    that onboard video woould work fine, or a geforce 4 mx 440 or beforece fx 5200 would be fine.
