I installed an antivirus program called Kaspersky Antivirus and now whenever i go to packetnews, and click on the pack link number in firefox, nothing happens. The screen just stays blank. mIRC doesn't pop up or anything. I tried to access mIRC from IE, and it said this function was not accessible?!?! How do I enable mIRC activation in Kaspersky??

    Why would this be??

    Thanx

I have you recently done a virus scan if so,
you will probably find that the mirc exe as been deleteted.

Kaspersky says Mirc is a "Virus not a virus" Riskware.

When you do a virus scan watch out for "Virus not a virus" Riskware.
make your own mind up if its spyware cause that is what it means..

you will find that it as probably deleted other stuff as well,,

Just reinstall mirc and when kaspersky screams at you
    just press skip it .

Remember you will have to do this every time you do a virus scan.

    Ball Ache i know

    This may help? Quote:

Switch back to the standard database .

And : to exclude mirc.exe (for kav personal):
settings tab > configure real time protection >troubleshooting> check 'enable list of excluded objects' >click the change button>add button> just ype in 'mirc.exe' and ok your way out

may wanna repeat this for the on demand scan
might be slightly different for personal pro
