Look in the device manager. The the item at the bottom of the list should show the status of the USB controllers.

It's all looking fine. They all have a "+" beside them.

Ok, now i get this message when i hook it up. It's a unknown device and an error message saying something about not recognizing it. Any help?

Have you checked the Creative site for any further info? I know at one point my mp3 player wasnt being recongnized, so i had to download some driver thing to fix itAnd after that voilla

try this
put the installation cd in the cd drive, then plug in the mp3 player, then go to the device manager where ever you see a question mark right click>properties>driver(tabs) then click on update driver and then tell it to look on the cd.
I don't see no question marks...It is just listed as unknown device.
Linkin Park: Yeah I went to that site but the firmware won't work sine my player isn't connected.
alright guyI got it to work. The problem was that I hooked the usb 2.0 port in the wrong place. I never knew i had a slot in the back of my computer until i actually look.
