I was wondering what the differences in terms of extra features were, e.g stopwatch, alarm, calender etc.

The exact comparison is 20GB ipod to 30GB ipod photo.

I'm pretty sure, not certain though, that the iPod photo includes all features of the original iPod plus the photo, slideshow, etc. features. and that it's in color.

I just got a 30GB photo today. I also have a 3G 40GB and a 4G 20GB, and I can tell you it's much more that just a color screen. The interface is MUCH more polished. The resolution is much higher and text is smoother. It seems like the GUI was completly rewritten.
