I need some serious help uncofusing me.

Im trying to take these Are you afraid of the dark .avi's I have.
I want to take them and make a dvd.
The dvd player only plays mpgs.
I made the menus in Adobe Encore.
Adobe says the resolution on the .mpgs is wrong.

How do I turn and .avi into something playable in a dvd player, using encore to make the menus, helppppp.

I am just a worthless liar. I am just an imbecile.
I will only complicate you. Trust in me and fall as well.
I will find a center in you. I will chew it up and leave.
I will work to elevate you just enough to bring you down.

    OK I found out that .mpg is 320 x 240, it needs to be 720 x 480, 720 x 486 or 704 x 480

TMPGEnc will encode a movie into something you can play on a DVD

    ... that's what it does.

It'll go through the video frame by frame encoding it to MPEG and resizing each frame to the resolution you specify.

Trouble is it takes hours to convert a decent sized movie.
