it seems in order to convert a pal dvd file , i must convert the mpeg2 to avi,then convert the avi back to mpeg2 in ntsc format, which sucks. anyone know a good program to do this, or anyother way to convert an pal mpeg2 to ntsc mpeg2 , please?

When i tried to convert the dvd file to avi ( usually these are .vob and TS files , typicalls all files in the video_TS folder) i get an error message stating "Cannot Render graph, please make sure your video file can be played in in Windows media player"
can anyone help ?
No u just convert those to .mpg not .avi u would be going out the world ass-backwards if u did that and u would lose a lot of quality. Just read a guide on converting the dvd to .mpg then u can convert from there

Wouldnt making the dvd region free do this also or perhaps Im just tired now...
