I have downloaded 2 versions of Far Cry (CD and DVD versions) and they both have the same texture problems. I have the latest drivers for my Chaintech 6600GT (71.84). Wtf is goin on??

try downloading an update for the game itself, it could fix it. i had the exact same problem as you (and i mean the exact same, except i had/have the 6800), but after playing it for 2 days it went away, dont know what the hell it was but it solved itself.

It is the shit. I've been playing it for like 5 minutes (like Driv3r) and its really fun. The graphics are pretty nice too.
