ive found the possible solutions on the ati website but i either dont want to(underclock my cpu), cant be bothered to(change about 20 bios settings) or cant afford to gamble(flash the bios)

ive been playing battlefield vietnam on highest possible everything at 1024x768 and i reckon if it could speak my pc would be saying "is that all you got?" and making chicken noises

It can be this way with a new rig, but on the bright side yours seems to work at least, there are those who end up fuxcoring something or who get bad parts, and whose first experience with the new rig is the joy of sending it right back whence it came.
