    But yours is second hand, second hand pc's usually loose about 50% of their value just because they are second hand.

    The warranty is important too . Did you see the 15 day warranty on used systems? Out of the shop and around the block ! Curious as to what Clocker
    thinks about that. He seems to be one of the few who works in that captactiy ,or has knowledge in that area .

    We give a ninety day warrantee (no returns after 7 days) on the hardware and and no warrantee at all on the software, but all the used PCs have a valid Windows license.
    Peat moss is correct, friends and strangers alike will expect YOU to take care of them forever.
    Just yesterday I gave a used printer to a lady who returned a few hours later to bitch because the color cartridges ran out. I told her that I didn't see how she had any room to complain but if she'd like to actually PAY for a printer I'd be happy to sell her a fully working one.

    She left.
    Pissed off.

    Sheesh.

    What do you mean exactly when you say "second hand?"

    @clocker
    Wow some people...

    I can't really provide a warrenty, the most I can do is help out with the person's problems...

    That almost amounts to a warranty. And, depending on the friend, you'd really be better off trying to sell it to someone you don't know and hope to never see again. I installed software on a friend's pc once and though what I installed was stable, ever after that, I received phone calls every time something went wrong with his 'puter, which was often. Second hand, as in you have used it, the parts are not new so people think you are selling because its old and shit, in which case they dont want it either, or that its broke in which case the buyer doesnt want it.

    Offering help for life is a bad idea, they will be back with alot of issues, anytime anything goes wrong it will be you they phone not microsoft. You could end up spending more time than its worth trying to fix it.

    I was originally going to say I wanted to sell it to someone I'll never see again in my life, but I didn't want to sound mean.

    Screw it then, I won't sell this PC. I'll just buy a new one, and use this one whenever someone else is using my new one. Its still good for browsing the web, doing homework, and certain things.

    Yeah originally I wanted to sell it to someone I'll never see again, like at a garage sale, for about $400-$500. Thats just kind of mean, but thats life I suppose.
