Serious Question (Odd)

I've checked my username and it doesnt turn up on either of the boards, but the copied forums refer you to different boards.

So it's as if they are using the usernames from a third database, the one with the system-specs. http://www.sysprofile.de/

"my" specs don't match at all, btw.

Maybe we were mistaken about your name, rossco, tho' I thought I saw the same thing on a couple of others (might have been quotes or something). Unless there's also a fourth database with different names.

It's pretty weird, anyhow.

The copied forums look like lo-fi versions of a board.

I think it's all on the same server anyway.

My guess, (assuming that the ICEBAST/hack thing was real, which I don't really do) would be that someone set this up with some random samples from our database ('cos all of our posts aren't posted) to show they had it.

Of course, the posts are all from accessible forums, so someone with a hell of a lot of time of their hands could have just copied and pasted all of the posts.

or used spiders.

That doesn't explain how it's set up on that server tho'.

And the name in the Whois thingy "Zawadzki" sounds familiar as well.
Also,didn't he keep asking to make a back up of this board so he could host it himself(This was wen 7th was still the admin here)?

He is pretty mental so it's not unconcievable he'd make a mirror all on his own, but why would he place some of it under one board and some of it under another, and use usernames from a third place?

Man thats not good. This could really hurt our search engine eprformace. What can I do though?

It's infringing copyrights,right?

maybe it's some sort of automated thingy that randomly ads names to the posts?

well anyone can make a spider that fetches posts from other forums, looks liek this is what they did. What is the host name that i can email? I contacted the site owners but I wrote in english so they probably can't read it
