remember last time my power supply died? well it took the mobo with it too. and since i got no cash i am not going for another a7n8x-e so I gotta dumb it down really bad

    possible motherboards to buy:

    asrock K7S41GX
    cheapest amd board in store

features seem ok, i'm gonna need this board to last and to game.

    Asus A7V8X-X
10 bucks up it might cost me more since there's no onboard lan.

also since my hard drive has windows and is configured for the a7n8x-e what will happen when i turn it on?
    Ohh noo!!! I make dribbles!!!

It isn't going to like your mobo whichever you get.

Best bet is to load up with the XP cd, let it go through the usual stuff, when it says install new or repair, select repair. It will go through what looks like a normal installation but all your apps and data will be there when it has finished.
