Thread: NTSC PS2 plays Pal games?

    Hi, I was just wondering if I a NTSC PS2 with a modchip will play PAL games? I have a choice between a modded xbox or a modded PS2 , if the PS2 cant play PAL games, I would choose the Xbox because a lot of the games out there on the net are PAL games, very few are NTSC.

    No, an ntsc ps2 cant play pal/jap games. You'll need a certain ps2 modchip to do that...

    Technically speaking, a Japanese PS2 is NTSC. So really, it's a North American PS2 and not a NTSC PS2.

    you're saying japanese PS2's can play PAL even tho they're NTSC

    No... Mearly saying that both Japanese and North American PS2s are NTSC.
