Why do games take so long to make?Is it money or what? And what about future games, will they take longer to make?

think of everything thats in a game.... now think how long it would take to make and debug
a bit longer. also consider a lot of games have their own engine. which i imagine is a lot of typing and needs the brain of a rocket scientist, actually smarter cos even i know how a rocket works
if you have all abilities to create a game, how long you think you could do for a game?

umm... how long would it take you to make a game ziggy? 2 minutes.....ok.

pffft it takes more than 2 mins to code a f'n nes game, come on now. main reason games take longer, trial and error, things may be cool in theory, but getting it on the platform, that's a whole new ballgame.
You try typing in thousands of lines of code, creating a physics engine so stuff behaves like it does in the real world, create a graphics engines to display all the models/shadows/special effects/etc, along with all the other parts of the game, AND get it to work CORRECTLY, create all the art and models, a story, and a slew of other crap.
2 minutes? You're fucking crazy...
