depends on how fast your processor and hard drive are, and a little bit on your memory. Also what compression method was used.
the number and size of parts don't really affect the speed

I am well aware it depends on your computer and so forth as thats rather obvious I would think or at least now it is that youve pointed it out. I would think the number of parts and size has some effect obviously as a 4.7gb file takes me about 6 minutes compared to a 700mb which takes me almost exactly 30 seconds every time to the second. In short this post was just for curiosity really so I decide to take common example being 700mb and most scene stuff is packed mostly the same anyway...
