    There are some reviews here. You can't go wrong with a name brand. Boy the prices sure have tropped eh ? Nothing under 3.2 mp and the more mb the better.

    I have a Nikon Coolpix 2100 and I love it. You get up to the 4200 these days for under $200. That's my recommendation.

    make sure you get the good type of focus(passive). my sister's uses infra-red(active) and the focus is never as good as mine.

    and remember to get decent size memory card. if you plan on using for holidays and stuff get a 256 or 512 at least so then you can get a bit of video too, if you want it.

    Any of the Kodak from Vb 's link would be nice for a beginner or pro . Easyshare is right, the software is nice ,good picture's too. Thats what I have, an older model tho cx 6330. Just wish I would of upgraded the memory card .

    if you can find someone who works at best buy my friend just bought a 750 dollar camera for little over 250 so you might wanna find someone who works at bestbuy they get huge discounts

    I'v heard that too ! Are they hiring ? I could work weekends stocking selves. I'm not working the complaint dept. Chewie , Clocker or Lynx would be better suited ! Just teasing ! I can see the stories now . oh what fun that would be .
