mail filters creating spam....???

ok, this is wierd....
seems since I've started using Mailwasher....
I get more junk e-mail

of course I never have to see em in my inbox,
Mailwaher gets rid of em at the server, but man....
seems like every time I check it there's 3 or 4 crap e-mails
"size DOES matter you know..."
are they trying to tell me something?

anyway, anyone else noticed an increase of spam after installing any kind of filter app?
btw, I didnt get Mailwasher from Firetrust (the company that makes it)
I used....ermmm...."other" sources
so it's not that I'm accusing them of selling out my e-mail addy,
far as they know, I dont have their program, I dont even exist
