    Can anyone tell me how to disable AC'97 in BIOS?

    My mobo is a Shuttle FX41
    OS is XP Home

    Enter BIOS setup. Disable the onboard audio in the BIOS. Reboot to Windows. Delete the AC 97 audio driver in Device Manager. Install the PCI sound card and audio driver from the manufacturer. Lost the link but this should be easy .

    I wasn't installing a PCI one, but thanks anyhow. I was installing a headset with it's own sound card. I got it figured out.
