More specifically, one torrent. I made this torrent myself, and the tracker is tracker.prq.to/announce. I know the tracker isn't down because I have another torrent going from that one right now.

I keep getting a "Could not connect to tracker (10060)" error, but I can see Peers in the box for it in BitComet (although all of them say disconnected.)

Anyone got any insight into this problem?

That error means that the server/tracker is down or too busy to process your request. Just keep trying - leave it open. But also, the tracker may require you to upload the torrent to the tracker before it will track it. My tracker does a similar thing when a torrent isnt uploaded to it first.

The tracker was listed as a free tracker to use on mininova, and it worked fine before.

tracker.prq.to/announce is so overloaded that most times you query it, it will time out

...Now I can't seed ANYTHING at all. Especially stuff from filemp3, so as a result my ratio is like .09.

I can download, quite fast I might add. And now this is happening with every torrent, all from multiple sites. The only one that's even remotely working is one from filemp3, and even then it's going at less than a kb/s for the upload.

Could this have something to do with it?

how do you seed guys. i know this sounds like a stupid question. i've been using bitlord or bit torrent to download for ages, but seeing as i only use shitty sites with millions of leechers my downloads have been slow and uploads ok so my ratio has never been a problem. but once my file finished downloading, it stops uploading. how do i seed? argg!!!

i'd rather ask this question and look stupid than not seed anything

    What client do you use?

There will be a setting to alter so that you can either seed until your ratio for that particular file is 1:1, seed for a specified time after downloading is complete (which sounds like what you have it set to) or seed the file indefinitely.

I always set it to the latter. With ABC 2.6.9 the option is here; Action >> Global upload setting. Check the preferences on your particular client.

I plan on beating him to death with his kids. I'll use them as a bludgeon on his face. -
