    Angry

Everytime i get done playing the bf2 demo, cs source, doom3, and any other game that i play my computer not always but 90% of the time locks up only after closing the game. As the game is closing all of a sudden my entire screen freezes and i cant even move the coursor and it requires me to do a hard reboot. I have the latest drivers for my video card and ive done a mem test on the memory for 11hrs and it showed now errors. I have also reformated many times with no luck. I have done a hard drive test to see if there is anything wrong with the hard drive, which it then says there is nothing wrong. Any idea would be helpfull. Notice that this problem only occurs after closing the games. This error also just started occuring in the past 2 weeks or so. I built the computer probably around 3 months ago now.

    My Comp Specs:

    Processor: Pentium 4 3.2ghz

    Ram: 512mb DDR2 (A-DATA 512MB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200) Unbuffered System Memory Model ADJKD1908)

Video Card: BFG GeForce 6600 GT OC 128mb GDDR3 PCI-e

    Hard Drive: 160GB Western Digital

    Mobo: Intel Desktop Board D915PCY

(I have a 500w power supply that came w/ my case)

Check your wiring, make sure everything is plugged in and secure.

Rewire to be on the safe side.

Also make sure you have the latest stable drivers for your Geforce

The solution is simple - stop playing games.

Unless it's a top model case, that's just asking for trouble. Check your voltages.

However, the fact that it freezes as you leave a game suggests that the problem is actually driver related. That doesn't necessarily mean graphics card drivers, the whole system is stressed when playing most of these games. Make sure you've also got DirectX 9c.

    Check for Bios updates too.

I don't think it's the wiring or even the PSU.
Were it either of those, it seems logical that the problem would occur during game play when the demand is highest.

Drivers seem the likely culprit to me as well.
Have you installed new ones lately?

yea check web for good drivers. I wouldn't run extra processes\programs that you don't use in the background too, it may hug your resources when you quit.
