    Question Mark

    Hi there my problem has been going on for about 7 wks now and i think its my proxy but dont know how to find out anything about it . I havent been able to connect to my msn its saying i'm either having connection problems which i'm not or proxy problems . Also this is happening on my updates like my antivirus so can anyone give me a idiots guide . Ive put my proxy on auto detect but that hasnt worked.

    Anyway would love some help

    Auto-detect usually only works inside a private network with Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) servers, so that's not going to work for you.

    Ask your ISP what your proxy settings should be, but if you are using the same pc to post here it is likely you don't need any proxy settings at all.

    A more likely problem is that you are behind a firewall and it is blocking the ports or programs required for MSN and your antivirus update.

    Nope i've turned my firewall off both my mcafree and my windows one.
