My setup will NOT run 4x512 sticks of RAM at 1T.
It would NOT run 2x1GB (mid-range Geil) at 1T, either.
The best setup in terms of sheer performance is 2x512MB.
Granted, this might be a limitation of my motherboard or the memory controller of the Winchester....maybe a combination of the two, IDK.
I've sold off the other two 512's and the Geils (which weren't that good to begin with anyway) and now run just the pair of Patriot 512's.
Only running 1GB has never been a problem for me.

Im choosing to use this thread to continue my journey into the world of computer hardware, consider the other was a COMPLETE disaster so why not get back into things yes? Since I'll be in florida for about a month and a half, I'll wait things out and see what happens with the inventory. Right now Mobo choice one #1 is out of stock, mobo #2 (plan B..clockers Mobo), HD, and soon to be the Freezer. My uncle doesnt really want me to order the stuff now so whatever happens, happens right? Im thinking of reconsidering my choice of videocard and HD. Getting something like these-> LINK
I dont know what the difference is between them. I was also considering THIS video card for the performance boost compared to the X800PRO, for not much more.

Well, I have to say that an extra $81 for a raid controller you will never use, and some dickhead's name on the board (I bet he wouldn't have bought one) seems a little excessive anyway.

and if u live in Canada (thats what it says in ur profile) i dont think zipzoomfly ships to canada and the same goes for newegg
