Mabye its not installed ? You have it setup to run off the cd disk. Reinstall office and make sure you check the box install on harddrive.

yeah I think I did that from day 1 has its never asked me for my installation disc before now,and now that its already installed I don't think I get the option of installing to HD maybe I need to uninstall and reinstall the whole office setup

Thats what I would try, mabye a file got corruppted ?
