Thread: RMA RAM does not work either!

    Well at least the beep codes definitely confirme it to be a memory related problem.

    I can't be bothered to find the original thread so I assume your system works with your existing ram on its own.

    I notice that your existing ram is CL2, the "new" ram is CL3.

    If you've set the system up with fixed ram timings rather than using SPD it could well explain the difference. If so, try changing to SPD and see what happens. And don't forget that ram timings for AMD boards have to be a little slacker than those quoted for Intel boards.

    The RAM that does not work is also CL2. The link that you provided is both what I have now and what deos not work. I find it hard to believe they would ship two defective pieces of RAM.

    Edit:
    I changed it from Auto to SPD still no dice.
