for days there was a smell of burning plastic like when you burn a saucepan handle, eventually after ripping apart the kitchen looking for the sauce, found out it was some Lilys that had been bought for teh missus, have you ever had something smell like one thing and turn out to be another?

Could be that 1 of your plugs/switches are going bad.....it's melting or grounded out somewhere.

Someone bought lilies for your missus and you didn't even know about it?

I don't expect flowers to smell of burning plastic, prehaps theres to much of this recycling going on and contaminating flowers, they may grow them in biodegradable shopping bags

A few Lilies smell in this weather. It is impolite to tell them to bathe.
