Thread: have u used divx create bundle

  1. #1
I am using divx create bundle.

I drop a 40mb .mpg file onto the converter and choose the profile as 'home theatre'. The file created is a 18mb .divx

Now if I do the same again and choose 'handheld' as the profile, I again get an 18mb .divx file. But this time i am expecting a smaller file size because the profile is 'handheld' (and files for handheld devices should be smaller).

So do u know why the file size for both profiles is 18mb??

    thanks

I am really confused with this divx encoding.

I used divx pro with virtualdub to encode a 40mb mpg movie and saved it to avi. The resulting avi file came to 150mb. Why is this the case. I thought the point of using divx codec was to reduce the file size. so the 40mb file should become smaller??????????????
