cause your room smells when the doors shut and the wind can't escape

All spelling mistakes and grammatical errors in my post's are intentional.

Because when your door is open your house is drawing air from the opening in the window.
    This depends on wind direction.
When your door is shut the air has nowhere to go so it moves at a much slower rate.

If you open your window in your room, and open the window in the next room, block open the next rooms door and slowly open and close your door you will feel the preassure rise and fall and most likely get soe whistling.
