Thread: Winamp 5 CD Ripping

    You know when you go to preferences, and you click "CD Ripping" and it shows all of the settings for that? Like MP4, and bitrate...etc? With the tabs.."Encoder" "Ripping" "Output File Settings" and "Playlist Generation". How do you actually rip CD's with those settings? Ive read tutorials that change the output plugin, but that is not the right way, that just rips to MP3... How do I rip with the settings I stated above? And when I ripped with the second way, it wasnt even really doing it.

    If you click the cd drive on the left side of the Media Library then click "Rip" it uses those settings does it not.

    edit: Yes, I just tested and it DOES use those settings.

    Where is this CD drive you speak of?

    That's where it is in the default winamp5 skin.
    It's a list of all devices like MP3 players, cd drives, then there's playlists and internet radio stations, etc.
